Nukeland
Objective:
Years after the great fallout, your community has survived in an underground facility, shielded from the harsh, irradiated world above. But now, the power to your bunker has failed, leaving you no choice but to venture outside. Your community is divided into different factions, and each faction has chosen a champion to venture out, restore power, and destroy the mutant camp once and for all. The champion who succeeds will bring honor and fame to their faction.
Will you form alliances with the other champions, only to betray them at the first opportunity?
If all else fails, you could climb the communication tower and destroy everything in sight—if you survive the climb.
Nukeland is a semi-cooperative game of survival. Find resources to barter and defend yourself, explore the dangerous wasteland, and survive to become a hero. You can attack other players if you choose, but you won’t succeed alone. Always beware of the Mutants, who seek to destroy all humans.
· Players: 1–4
· Duration: 60–90 minutes
· Age: 14+ (due to theme and violence)
Turn-by-Turn Gameplay in Nukeland
Each player takes their turn in clockwise order. A turn consists of the Action Phase, during which players determine their available Action Points (AP) by rolling a d4 dice and adding any bonuses from cards or character abilities. These Action Points can be spent on the following actions in any order or combination:
- Move (1 AP): Move your character one space on the board. When you move onto a tile, you automatically pick up the resources or trigger the effects on that tile. Enemy Engagement: If the player enters an enemy-controlled area during their move, the enemy attacks immediately.
- Look (1 AP): Reveal the tile in your current space without triggering it.
- Interact (1 AP): Perform an action such as trading at a Market or completing a mission.
- Attack (1 AP): Attack an enemy or another player within range using available resources.
- Upgrade (1 AP): Use Tech to enhance your weapons or abilities at specific locations.
Players must manage their Action Points carefully to maximize their efficiency and adapt to the challenges of the game.
Key Considerations:
- Resource Management: Resources such as Bullets, Mech, and Recycle are crucial for performing actions, crafting upgrades, and surviving encounters.
- Mission Progress: Players must balance personal goals with mission objectives to earn victory points.
- Strategic Positioning: Staying out of enemy range and managing control of zones can be the difference between survival and elimination.
